Session Four, “The Civil War” Our ongoing Civil War Series continues with another nationally recognized author and historian, Professor Art Burton who tells of the “GLORY BRIGADE”, the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, a Legendary African American Civil War regiment and subject of the critically acclaimed film, Glory.

The Battle Of Los Angeles… The “Real” Story. It was 3:16 a.m., 25, February, 1942, the 37th Coast Artillery Brigade began firing over 1,400 shells at “Unknown Aircraft” over Los Angeles. The USAAF 4th Interceptor Command was alerted. Artillery fire continued until 4:14 a.m. An all clear was sounded and the blackout lifted at 7:21 a.m. What caused the alert? Japanese Planes?
